Batik printing originated in the islands of Indonesia and predates written records. This method uses the traditional wax-resist dyeing technique to create designs representing the Javanese conceptualization of the universe and pays homage to the three major Hindu Gods. Each tote uses a 75-year-old, found Batik fabric paired with a vintage vegetable-tanned cowhide. Leather reinforced base panels and dual-riveted handles complete the design to help you carry whatever beliefs you may have. To help reduce the impact of our carbon footprint, we are using every last scrap from our first round of production in order to bring you the Batik Patchwork Collection. Will Leather Goods is proud to breathe new life into each piece of fabric.
